Hi guys, can I first just say how great it is that all of us can talk about these things openly with each other to make us all feel a little less lonely and more normal? It’s such a blessing honestly.
So basically I was diagnosed with a cervical ectropian a few weeks ago and had a colposcopy exam and cervical biopsy 2 weeks ago tomorrow, the 1st February. I am waiting on my biopsy results currently and am hoping I receive treatment to get rid of the ectropian 🤞🏻 Anyway after the biopsy I had cramps, discharge and all that usual stuff that they tell you to expect after the exam, which all went away within 7 days. I am now two weeks after it and have experienced extreme bloating and swelling of my lower abdomen and pelvic area for the last 3-4 days. My abdomen is hard to touch and is protruding outwards, it aches if pressed down on and I have on and off pelvic pain. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m really worried I have cysts or something is wrong with my ovaries/womb. I am phoning my GP in the morning and hoping she will see me as they are limiting numbers in the clinic due to COVID. I stopped my contraceptive pill on the 21st December, so have been off of birth control for over a month now. I did this as I was told the pill is the number one cause of ectropians and really want mine to go away. I also don’t need it for contraception and want to live without putting hormones in my body like I have been for the last 2 years. Maybe my swelling and pain is my body adjusting to actually ovulating for the first time in years? I don’t know but I am really worried. I’ve also had loose stools in conjunction with constipation the last few days along with the bloating and pain. Any advice/ similar stories are welcome.
Thanks guys 🥰
Theresa
